A total solar eclipse will occur across Australia during the afternoon of 22nd July, 2028, sweeping across parts of Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and NSW, including Sydney.

The eclipse path, 188.8 km wide, will pass directly across the entire Sydney region. Here in Macarthur, totality will last for about 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

The entire continent of Australia outside the path of totality will witness a partial eclipse.
