We are pleased to announce the launch of the MAS Astro Imaging Group.
This new initiative will bring together members who share an interest in astrophotography and will promote excellence in astro photography with knowledge sharing, learning and camaraderie.
Aims
Whether you’re just starting out or already have experience in astro imaging, this group is for you. Our goal is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where members can:
• Discuss techniques and best practices
• Share knowledge and expertise
• Learn from each other’s experiences
• Showcase their images and receive feedback
Meetings
We’re planning to meet monthly at a local library on a Saturday afternoon for two hours, starting in mid-May. Each meeting will feature a range of activities, including:
• Q&A sessions
• Image reviews and discussions
• Target of the month challenges
• Mini presentations
• Equipment and software guidance and advice
• Image acquisition and processing technique discussions
Meeting dates will be announced on the Notice Board page and by e-mail.

The Astro Imaging Group Leader is Frank Alvaro.
Who Can Join?
The Astro Imaging Group is for financial members of the Society, whether using a DSLR camera, a dedicated astro-cam or nothing yet.
No additional charges apply. All you need to bring is your curiosity.
