NGC3132 aka Eight Burst Nebula/Southern Ring Nebula is a planetary nebula 2000ly away in Vela. Image by Greg Bradford. The nebula is 1/2 ly across though only 1 arcmin as seen from Earth. The star in the centre is not connected. Hubble images show a white dwarf adjacent to it which is the progenitor of the nebula.
